These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the resume writing, cover letter, LinkedIn optimization, professional and executive bio, job search guidance and interview preparation services (the "Services") provided by Resume Synergy ("Resume Synergy," "we," "us" or "our"), and to your use of resumesynergy.com (the "Site"). By authorizing us to begin work or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Quotes and Authorizing Work
After we discuss your goals, we will confirm the service(s) and quoted fee. When you confirm that you'd like Resume Synergy to move forward, you are authorizing us to begin your customized materials and agreeing to pay the quoted fee once your first draft is completed and delivered.
2. Payment
No upfront payment. For writing services, payment is due once your completed first draft has been delivered.
Your first draft is sent as a watermarked PDF for review. After payment is received, we provide your editable Microsoft Word document and non-watermarked PDF and continue working with you through any included revisions.
Receiving a first draft is not a free trial. Because each document is written specifically for you, the quoted fee is owed once the first draft is delivered, whether or not you choose to use the materials.
We accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle and credit card via Square.
Fees for consultation-based services, such as 30-Day Job Search Support and Interview Preparation, are due before the scheduled session or support period begins.
3. Revisions
General revisions related to the original project are included during the initial review process. Resume and cover letter services also include up to five targeted revisions to tailor your documents for specific job opportunities. Targeted revisions may be requested for up to six months following final delivery. Requests that substantially change the scope of the project (for example, a new career direction or additional documents) may be quoted separately.
4. Turnaround Times
Most projects are completed within approximately 3–5 business days, depending on the service, current workload and your availability to provide information and feedback. Turnaround times are estimates and are not guaranteed. If you have a deadline, please tell us when you contact us.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree to provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge, and to review your materials carefully before using them. You are responsible for the accuracy of dates, employers, titles, credentials and other facts included in your documents.
Services for anyone under 18 require the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on the minor’s behalf.
6. No Guarantee of Employment
No professional resume service can guarantee interviews, job offers or a particular hiring outcome. Our Services are designed to help you present your experience as effectively as possible, but hiring decisions are made by employers and depend on many factors outside our control.
7. Ownership and Use of Materials
Once your fee is paid in full, the final documents we create for you are yours to use for your personal job search and professional purposes. Until payment is received, all drafts remain the property of Resume Synergy and may not be used, copied or distributed. We may keep copies of your files for our records and to support future updates you request.
8. Confidentiality
We treat the information and documents you share with us as confidential and use them only to provide the Services. See our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
Before work begins: If you cancel before we begin work on your materials, no fee is owed.
After customized work has begun: If you cancel after we have started your customized materials but before your first draft is delivered, a cancellation fee will be charged based on the amount of work already completed.
After your first draft is delivered: The full quoted fee is due and is non-refundable.
Interview Preparation sessions: Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a scheduled session. For cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice, Resume Synergy may charge the full session fee. Exceptions may be made for emergencies at our discretion.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resume Synergy's total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the Services giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost wages or lost employment opportunities.
11. Website Use
Content on the Site, including text, graphics and logos, belongs to Resume Synergy or its licensors and may not be copied without permission. The Site may link to third-party websites, such as book retailers, which we do not control.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time you authorize work will apply to that project.
